Charlotte is a Data Protection Advisor at IGS, where she collaborates with clients across the public and private sectors, particularly in the technology and healthcare industries. Her work includes advising on AI governance and policy, supporting the development and review of data contractual agreements and privacy policies, conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and assisting with due diligence and compliance reviews. She also contributes to research and advisory work, for instance on genomic data or on procedures involving the Confidentiality Advisory Group (CAG) and Research Ethics Committees (REC).
She holds a First-Class dual degree in French and Common Law, where her dissertation examined discrimination in access to assisted reproductive technologies, highlighting how observed disparities were intrinsically linked to individuals’ personal characteristics. After her Bachelor, Charlotte completed an internship at a Magic Circle law firm, where she discovered information governance and data protection law and developed a strong interest for this field. She then completed a Master in International Business to gain a commercial and strategic perspective that complements her legal expertise. Finally, she specialised in Intellectual Property and Information Law with her LLM from King’s College London, recognising the growing importance of this field today with the development of AI, which is reshaping the legal landscape and reinforcing the need to ensure that both intellectual property rights and personal data are adequately protected.
At IGS, she brings a multidisciplinary perspective that combines legal and commercial insights to support clients in meeting data protection obligations and fostering accountable data practices.
Outside of work, she enjoys cycling around London and photography. When she is not doing either, she is probably singing along (quietly) to a West End musical.
