Sama is a Data Protection Advisor at IGS, where she supports clients across the public sector and healthcare industries in navigating operational and project-specific data protection requirements.
She holds an undergraduate degree in Law from the University of Bristol, where she explored both Medical Law and Information Technology Law. Her interest in the intersection of law and technology culminated in her undergraduate dissertation on the creative applications of generative AI and copyright law. She went on to complete the Solicitor’s Qualifying Examinations (SQE 1 and 2) alongside an LLM at the University of Law.
In her role at IGS, Sama works across a range of compliance activities, including conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), advising on cross-border data transfer mechanisms and broader compliance strategies, reviewing and drafting internal data protection policies, and contributing to framework documentation for secure data environments (SDEs).
Sama brings strong interpersonal and communication skills developed through her advisory work at the University of Bristol Law Clinic and the University of Law Clinic, as well as her experience handling multi-jurisdictional data protection matters at a commercial law firm in Dubai.
Outside of work, Sama enjoys being buried in a good book, yoga, live music, and spending time in nature—when London’s weather allows.
