Rozerin Hülakü

Rozerin is a Data Protection Advisor who obtained her law degree at the University of Zurich and then proceeded to complete an LLM in Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law at the University of Sussex. She has a published article in the Communications Law Journal on the privacy regimes in the UK and in Switzerland regarding public figures and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E).

Previous to her role at IGS, she has worked as a paralegal for a law firm in Zurich with a focus on family, contract and migration law and as a legal advisor in a mid-sized GP in Switzerland. Due to her position as a legal advisor, she has ample experience in handling confidential patient data. At IGS, Rozerin has been involved with clients in both the private and the public sector.

As a privacy professional, Rozerin has expertise in all areas of data protection but has been focusing on information governance and compliance by, for example, reviewing and drafting both internal and public facing policies and privacy notices, completing Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), managing and investigating data breaches, updating Record of Processing Activities and creating and presenting Information Governance Training Sessions. With regards to clients in the health care sector, she has experience in Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) submissions and Confidentiality Advisory Group (CAG) applications. She has also been involved in multi-organisational projects within the healthcare and research sector where she supports clients with setting up programmes in a compliant manner and by engaging with different stakeholders.

In her spare time, Rozerin is trying to keep her 9 plants alive, to read as many fiction books and see as many plays and musicals as she can.
