William Chan

William received academic training in philosophy and politics, with a focus on the moral issues surrounding data and artificial intelligence. Alongside his role at IGS, he is a Teaching Fellow at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence at the University of Cambridge. Before that, he taught and researched politics and philosophy at the Universities of London, Southampton, Manchester, Warwick and Hertfordshire. He completed his PhD in Politics and International Studies (Pass without Corrections) at Warwick in 2021. William seeks to provide clients with distinctive insights into data governance, with his expertise at contemporary moral and political philosophy.
